Winter 2017 Refresh: I wrote an article about the importance of designers and UX pros mentoring newbies. I discovered that tons of new designers are looking for mentors and tons of designers are willing to adopt a mentee, but you’re having trouble connecting. Consider the comments on this post your connection zone! :)
Mentee hopefuls, drop a quick overview of your career goals. Mentors, drop a quick description of your awesome skills. Then peruse one another’s posts and if you find a potential match, reach out to that person by commenting on their comment! :)
I definitely can’t guarantee that everyone will find a match, but even if just a couple of you do, I’d consider this a huge success. Mentor/mentee relationships are so, so important in our industry!
I’ll be peeking in from time to time to say hi, but this post is your playground. Let the mentoring connection making begin! :)
